Planet Blue is looking for a Social Media Community Manager to collaborate and work with the Marketing and Ecommerce team through the strategy, posting, and analysis of branded, celebrity, and user generated content for various social media outlets (Instagram/ Instagram Stories/ Facebook/ Twitter/ Pinterest). The Social Media Community Manager will implement the above based on overall brand vision handed down from the Senior Director of Global Marketing and Communications and the Art Director. All posting, comments, customer service replies, DM’s, content flagging, content promotions, engagement, and analytics will be managed by the Social Media Community Manager 7 days a week.


  • Responsibilities 
    • Edit, strategize post, engage, and track an elevated, unique, cool and intelligent story across Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter that falls in-line with the overall brand vision. 
    • Present a calendar proposing photo, gif, and video creative to support all Marketing, Communication, E-commerce, and Wholesale initiatives -- on a weekly basis.  
    • Present analytics and insights for all social media platforms with actionable suggestions -- on a weekly basis.  
    • Create ROI recaps for major programs and perfect professional looking content across channels to improve internal and external communication. 
    • Serve as a community manager by engaging fans, followers, prospects, partners, and aspirational customers through comments and Direct Messages.  
    • Create clear action plan to meet engagement and growth targets • Present and educate on new platforms and technology for consideration to Art Director where relevant. 
    • Constantly work to create compelling “out-of-the-box” digital moments to support sales.
  •  Education & Experience 
    • Proven track record of increasing brand audience and engagement a must. • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or related field.  
    • 2+ years of experience in media/social media. 
    • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. 
    • Strong understanding of native and outside analytics Maintains excellent writing and language skills
