Angel Blog of the WeekWhat a great weekend I just had! The end of August brings one of my favorite things - Sunset Junction - an awesome couple days of street fair and music festival in Silverlake on the east side of Los Angeles, where Sunset and Hollywood Blvd come together. My favorite of favorite bands The Black Keys closed the show Sunday night in grand fashion. My friends and I were lucky enough to score seats on a rooftop above the the crowd of a couple thousand which made the show even better. We also got to check out Cold War Kids, !!!, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, saw an incredible Flamenco dance performance, and had some killer tacos and fried plantains (yummy yummy) from a street vendor. In addition to all of the music, carnival, and fun, its always a great place to check out some fashion. A little of what I saw; girls rocking short shorts flannels and boots, leggings and gladiators with racerback tanks, tshirt dresses with hot vintage belts, vintage pieces mixed with new, and scarves and feathers for days. I think one of the best things about fashion right now is that anything goes. It is so mix and match and easy to make your own - so do it! And check check out some new music while you're at it. What I am listening to this week: The Black Keys "Attack and Release"
